Some of my earliest memories are of taking photos.  First with my 110 slide camera, then using my grandmother’s Polaroid, and eventually I progressed on to my Canon 7D.   I’ve always been drawn to visual mediums: painting, photography, sculpture.  It’s just how I’m wired.  Like TV or film, I tell stories utilizing a still image.  Nothing against Ansel Adams landscapes (beautiful as they are), but they just aren’t my style.  I prefer viewers to be able to gaze into my work and to learn something about the subject(s) being portrayed.  The story might be critical of the subject, ironic in nature, seductive, or even tragic.  While portraits and artistic nudes are fun to shoot, candids tend to be my forte; documenting and commenting on everyday life.
